Ltd (hereinafter as JISCO Hongxing) is in Jiayuguan city, crossing between the middle part of Hexi corridor and west end of the Great Wall,. The distance to Jiuquan city is 22 km, to Jiayuguan fortress 5km and to Mogao grotto 380km. The company is connected to 312 national highway in south and near Jiayuguan airport. The plant railway is linked with Lanzhou-Xinjiang railway. Therefore, convenient traffic is available.    
    Having been approved by Gansu provincial government (1999) 21 document, Jiuquan Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. (JISCO) initiated the JISCO Hongxing Iron & Steel Co., together with Lanzhou Railway Bureau, Gansu Provincial Power Co., Jinchuan Non-ferro Co. and North-west Yongxin Chemical Co. on 17th, April, 1999. JISCO became the shareholder by the operating assets of its owned iron making plant, steel making plant and rolling plant, etc. The other four companies became the shareholder with the cash.  
   The registered capital is 528,000,000 yuan when the company found. Upon the approval by (2000) 157 document issued by China Securities Supervision Administration Committee, the company issued 200,000,000 common shares (A share with 1 Yuan) to the public on Nov. 30th, 2000. Upon the approval by (2000) 109 document issued by Shanghai Stock Exchange, 200,000,000 common shares issued to the public were allowed to be transacted in Shanghai Stock Exchange since Dec. 20th, 2000. (Share code: 600307, Share name: JISCO Hongxin), the registered capital became to 728,000,000 Yuan. The solution of 2 shares gift of the capital accumulation fund for each 10 shares was implemented in June, 2006. The registered capital became to 873,600,000 Yuan. Upon the approval by (2009) 983 document issued by China Securities Supervision Administration Committee, the company issued 1,172,078,712  shares to JISCO only to purchase the relevant assets before iron making system, carbon steel rolling system and auxiliary system and 100% shareholding of Yuzhong iron & steel on Sep. 21st, 2009. It reached the integrated list of JISCO carbon steel and the registered capital of the company became to 2,045,678,712 Yuan.
     The company is mainly undertaking the producing and selling of iron-steel and rolling products. The finish products include high-speed wire and rod, middle and thick plate, hot rolling coil, cold rolling coil, cold rolling plate and casting slab. The good quality and perfect after-sale service has already attracted the customers and markets. The products have been sold to more than 28 provinces and areas in China, and foreign countries such as Korea, Japan, American, Hongkong, Taiwan, etc.
   The main equipments with the characters of large-scale, continue and automation are imported from 11 countries, such as American, England, France, Germany, Sweden, Spain, etc. and keep the international advanced level by the technical innovation.
   The products all reach the state’s and the industry’s standards. For this certificates were issued by China Metallurgical Industry Quality System Authentication Center and ISO9001-2000 Quality System Authentication. The quality of nine products such as low carbon non-twist cold-controlled hot-rolled wire steel achieved the internationally advanced standard. The series of wire product was awarded the honorable name of “best product of Gansu”. The common wire product, hot rolled ribbed bar and 20g boilerplate were awarded the “golden cup” by National Metallurgical Bureau. The ship plate has already got the trade certificates from China, Germany, England, Norway, etc.The ER70S-6CO welding high-speed wire coil was honored “new national key product” by the national ministry of science and technology. The other 18 products were awarded the quality products by the province and ministry.  
The company insists on the requirements of energe saving, emission reducing, environment protection and cycle economy development. The certificates were issued by ISO14001 environment system Authentication and Europe CE Authentication.
    Three iron & steel producing bases of the headquarters, Yicheng and Yuzhong have already been formed with the annual capacity of iron 7,000,000t, steel 8,000,000t and finish product 7,000,000t. It owns four mines with the annual capacity of 6,000,000t iron ore and 2,000,000t limestone including Jingtieshan mine (iron and copper ore), Jingtieshan Heigou mine(iron ore), limestone ore and dolomite limestone. It owns a set of iron and steel assets with modernization producing technology including mining, mine selecting, sintering, coking, iron making, steel making, hot rolling, cold rolling, etc. and the relevant power energy system and selling logistics system.
